Strade Sicure is the prevention programme of the Department of Institutions of the Canton of Ticino. Three goals: promote road safety, coordinate the already-active bodies with the State, give the actions a single brand.
What it does
It coordinates a commission bringing together the Canton's road-safety partners: cantonal and municipal police, schools, the Territory Department, accident prevention, SUVA, TCS Ticino, ACS, ProVelo, Nez Rouge and others. It supports prevention campaigns with the Road Safety Fund, including «Mi distraggo? No grazie!» on distraction and «Fai esperienza con prudenza» for young motorcyclists.
The approach is the same one we recognise: road safety as shared responsibility, prevention before punishment.
How it connects to us
Strade Sicure is the table where Ticino road safety is coordinated. Drive Awake brings a lens that is missing today: sleepiness. We want to engage with this ecosystem and contribute our perspective.
